After reading the above post, I deleted the offending file from my collection, had Slimserver clear and rescan, and tried again. The script hung up on Disc 2 of the same set. I deleted that file, rescanned, and got a successful .pdf. Must be something about the artwork. I can always re-rip, if necessary. Looking good, Emissary.
