Doing the copy is effectively the same as shutting off error correction
(sometimes referred to as secure mode) in EAC. Don't bother doing a
copy, you're wasting more time or quality which you have total control
over doing a direct rip with EAC. If you want the best rip, just let it
do it's thing.

Be sure to clean your beat up discs as much as possible before ripping.
Some readers handle errors better than others.
