I decided to dig out my old squeezebox1 this week to give it a new new lease of life, and everything was going great... until I tried to play an AAC file (most of my library). They sound like white noise, but whose volume varies with the volume at the time on the AAC. Weird.
MP3's play fine on the box, and to make sure the problem is at the slimserver, I took a stream.mp3 from localhost, and sure enough, it's the same weird white noise. Having read up on the wiki, I'd say the problem lies with 'mov123', the AAC decoder for the mac. On a whim, I tried downloading the current source for mov123 from the CVS, and recompiled that. No difference. I'm looking at the moment at getting faad2 (the linux decoder) to decode my AACs, but having trouble getting a mac binary, and having trouble compiling my own. Anyway, it would be great if anyone could help me out. Any ideas why mov123 might be giving me this weird output?
