You probably just hit the 'WAV' button instead of the 'MP3' button
(which is used for when extracting to any compressed format).  Or if
you did 'Action > Copy Selected Tracks > ...' then you selected
Uncompressed instead of Compressed.

If it's just a few CDs then I would rerip.  That's probably the easiest
way to get tagging info into the new files.  If you use Flac Frontend
then you'll have to manually add the tags or use tagging software
afterwards.
