True enough - and recently I have started buying quite a lot of old gems from eBay/charity shops, giving them a wipe with a drop of isopropyl and ripping them. Some of these are a little scratched in places, to say the least!
iTunes does have some sort of error correction for ripping lossless (can't remember what, without looking) but if I do ever get one that sounds bad I could just use cdex, with paranoia set to full, rip to wav and convert to ALAC. cdex is a very good little app, I reckon. -- moley6knipe ------------------------------------------------------------------------ moley6knipe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10014 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38573 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
