I bought a CD this afternoon and popped it into my w2k3 dvd drive and it immediately opened up some sort of macromedia app. I closed the app and found that I couldn't rip the damned thing - track 1 and 15 consistently gave errors, even with EAC. I thought I'd been rootkitted, downloaded rootkit detection/removal tools and found that I had not been. I should've turned off autoplay a long time back anyhow. Tried to rip the CD in linux using cdparanoia and got the same result.
