If I download tracks from iTunes it will be in a lossy format. It will include their DRM, which means it will not play on my SqueezeBox.
To get round this I then have to burn these tracks onto CD. I can then rip the CD I have just created back onto my SB Music Hard Drive and then be able to play the iTunes tracks on my SB. But, one question. When I rip the CD is there any advantage in ripping it in FLAC, or am I as well using MP3 VBR mode, as the downloaded tracks would have been lossy anyway? Or by ripping the CD in MP3 would I be further downgrading the sound quality from an already lossy file. Hope this makes sense !!! -- norderney ------------------------------------------------------------------------ norderney's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=378 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39724 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
