I've tried MP3Tag (from Maniac Tools), Mp3tag x2.39 (from Florian Heindenreich). I don't believe that these tools are made for use with FLAC files that use Vorbis comments and in fact SHOULD NOT have ID3 or ID2 tags on them. I've not had luck with either of them using Vorbis comments on FLAC files.
"Tag&Rename" seems to work better but doing the install on Vista, it will screw up the start menu by adding a bogus "Progams" folder that can't be opened! I uninstalled "Tag&Rename" because of this. What I'd like is a tool that is designed for removing any ID3 tags and only show me Vorbis comments. I just tried The Godfather. I used dbPowerAmp to rip some CDs to FLAC files thinking there would only be Vorbis comment tags, but low and behold The Godfather does now show ANY VOrbis comments on the files except for "Composer." I don't use mp3's, only FLAC. Does anyone have personal use in a FLAC-only world with Transporter as a reader? I'd sure love to find a tool that reliably removes ID3 tags and edits Vorbis comment fields. I'm running Vista with the Transporter. Thanks in advance for any help!
