I've just started to download high-rez files from Linn's web site. The first file I downloaded was 96kHz/24bit and it distorts when played back on the Squeezebox. I know the Squeeze box has a maximum 48kHz sampling rate, so I assume this is the problem. If this is the case, is there a way to get the hi-rez file to work with the Squeezebox? The second file I downloaded was 44.1kHz/24bit and it works OK as expected. I plan to get a Transporter soon and don't anticipate a problem with it... (I use a Music Vault NAS and my GOAL is to ultimately store 96/24, 176.4/24 and 192/24 files in FLAC).
