I just finished ripping all my 875 CD's to ALAC in iTunes and I'm just getting started using the Squeeze system of products. To my amazement, it looks like I've ripped and tagged everything correctly, including artwork, except for about 60 compilation CD's which aren't showing up under the "Various Artists" heading like I want them too. I have a Duet Controller and Squeezebox 3/Classic that I haven't set up yet so my problem, at this stage, is just with SqueezeCenter.
During the ripping process in iTunes I changed the Artist, Album Artists and Composer heading to "Various Artists" and put "No" in the Compilation check box as I find dealing with compilation to be a big headache. Now, when I go to the "various Artists" tab under "Artists" in SqueezeCenter" only 1 disc out of the 60 shows up. Weird. Compilations that I named by the actual artists, like a greatest hits or live CD show up fine with the artists other albums and for soundtracks I use the name of the movoe for Artist, Album Artists and Composer and they're all showing up fine at various points in the alphabet. Am I missing something obvious? Does SqueezeCenter not like the term "Various Artists" for Artist, Album Artist and Composer?
