Thank you.  It seems to be working with flacs.  So is it valid to say
that when streaming flacs that way you receive the quality of
uncompressed audio on the fly? Or  is it still preferable to first
explicitly uncompress all the flacs to wav and  then read them as wav
to start with? any difference in  sound quality?

Another observation, when trying to stream .ape as wav (disabling ape
to flac conversion)   I hear a loud audible click/noise before each
.ape track , while if streaming .ape as flac - everything works as
usual (without a click - though at lower bitrate ). Did anybody have
the same problem when handling ape?
