I already had this problem. For me, It was because windows media player started too quickly to rip the CD before the recognition was completed. To avoid that, you have to modify an option in WMP. Go to the low part of " Ripping" (extraire) then "additional options" (options aditionnelles) then "rip the musing" (extraire de la musique) then disable "rip the isterted CD" (extraire le contenu du CD inséré).
When you do that, you insert the CD and after aprox 5 to 10 sec, you may check "start ripping" (démarrer l'extraction)and you first track will be recognized as well. Which version of WMP do you use? When I updated mine to WMP 11, the tracks numbers are not any more recognized!!! If you have any useful info, I would apreciate! Good luck jp PS : I use a French version of Windows XP, so that I am not sure of the exact translation of the windows command! -- jpt78 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jpt78's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2983 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53433
