First post! Be gentle... Having ditched my 5.1 set up (No TV here for 3 years now) and reverting to a gifted NAD 3020e, I am now re-ripping my CD's in FLAC. Amazed at the difference in quality!
But, tagging is getting me down. Having used the advice on setting dBpa from another thread, and using [IFCOMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],Various Artists[]\[album]\[track] [artist][][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[artist][]\[album]\[artist] - [track][] - [title], I found that the title was not very friendly on the Duet screen. I ripped a few with just [track] [title] - [artist] - [album] which I like much better, but now my folder "my music/flac" is a right mess! No artist folders, just individual files..... Anyway of retaining the last tag, but getting the folder automatically tidied up? Also interested in what people do with post ripped CD's? I will back up to a NAS HDD, and thought about buying a jumbo CD wallet and putting the disk and sleeve booklet in each pocket and binning the jewel case. OH is not too keen though. Don't want them cluttering up the living room and loate to box them up and stick in the loft. Cheers for any tips.
