I got a generic SATA DVD burner on-line tor $35. It seem to work really well It's very fast and has few errors. I think in general new driver are much better then the older ones and they all rip well. I think the cheap ones burn out faster. The only advantage I can see in expensive drives like Plexor is they last forever.
