If you have an artist, say "Pink Floyd"... And one track, anywhere in the library that has an ARTISTSORT of "Bowie, David"... Then all tracks with Pink Floyd as Artist will be filed under "Bowie, David". (Which makes sense in a computerish way: the ARTISTSORT tag says to SC, "please sort this artist this way..." so extending it to all tracks with the same artist isn't a leap in a 'normalized' database where one row represents one artist.) If you have more than one track, well, it depends on the scanning order which will take precedence.
