Being relatively new to ripping and tagging, I really didn't understand what you were saying in the prvious post, but what I'm doing is ripping with EAC to flac and then making any changes that I don't catch in EAC with Foobar. Everything works for me except I want the actual release year for each song to pull to SC search instead of the compilation release date. Same with singles that I've recently started to download from iTunes. For now I've been manually changing the dates with Foobar and because I'm doing it as I download them, it's really not too daunting. The only ones I'm having to go back and do are my compilation CDs. Thank goodness Wikipedia has a bunch of good info on the type of music I'm tagging. iTunes does not offer and original year tags, but that sure would be nice expecially since it appears that there are a lot of older albums that never made it directly to CD, but rather went on compliations. BTW, I'm up for submitting a change to SC on this.
