i can't say if its in the DB at all or not, but either way, the music is missing from lists like Home -> Artists or Home -> Albums as to your points, i now delete tags too, i now only use id3v2.3 however, i don't think it should be the goal of the designers to try to change the habits of potential users, esp given that SC is "READ ONLY" ...only. in other words, garbage tags are one thing, no program should be expected to work well with garbage, but it is not right to define EVERYTHING that SC does not handle well as garbage. take the bug i reported as an example. it had perfectly valid v1 tags. at a later date, i added RG to them, so it now had v2 tags that were empty except for RG. winamp handled that without ANY kind of issue.
