Hi there, I am playing with this very problem at the moment - I do similar things to all. This is how *I* do it.
I rip music using dbpoweramp using my own custom naming format into a "new music" folder on to a 1tb hard drive on my computer. Then I use Media Monkey to tweek it - add art, tag with other genres, make it presentable. I keep finding things I love about MM, the auto playlists, the "files to edit" node - the most recent is scripts - the one I am using now is searching google automatically for album art that is missing in huge batches, the other is checking LastFM and filling in extra genres - a little hit and miss, but the grandaddy is tagginginconsistencies - amazing check these here http://trixmoto.net/mm/topten.php http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=73421 Then when all good I "copy" it to my vortexbox (my old computer) tucked in the corner and then "cut" it to my backup library on the original 1tb drive on my computer. Then set up the squeezecenter on the vortexbox to do a scan for changes every night - if I want to play it sooner than the next day I just browse to that file. The next day pick up the touch and ipeng to "new music" and there are the last 50 albums I added. -- Bison8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bison8's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=27208 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18291 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
