Hello. I traded for an external analog to digital converter in order to start ripping some of my thousand or so albums so that I may play them back on my SB. My friend is allowing me use of his turntable and preamp and we will be ripping some of his albums also.
I have a couple of questions though. I understand that you run the preamp outs to the analog in's of the converter in order to do the converting. My question is what is the best way to transfer these digital files to my computer without degrading the sound of these files? SPDIF out to SPDIF in? Do I have to worry about jitter when connecting the SPDIF out of the converter to the SPDIF in of the soundcard? I have a MAudio 2496 soundcard that I use and the analog to digital converter is a Black Lion.
