What format are you 24/96 files in? If they are FLAC, check your
settings in SC to make sure you are not converting them to anything
before playing. Another issue is that SOX needs more processing power
then just running SC, so the ReadyNAS might not have enough oomph.

One last side comment, why buy 24/96 if you have no means of playing
it? The main reason for the SC 7.3.2 having SOX is so that folks with
Transporters that have 24/96 files can play those same files on the
other Squeezeboxes without having to maintain a second set of down
converted files. All done on the fly.
