Nice. abcde is my ripper of choice too. It's very easy to use and straightforward to configure, however its use of Freedb etc does mean the tags are a little crappy sometimes.
Have you seen VortexBox? http://vortexbox.org/ it does similar things to this, although much more besides (it's a full squeeze center server for instance).
