i do mostly pop music, but i have some classical too, however i don't
obsess over tagging classical.

having said that, i would strongly advise that whatever tagging methods
you use, your dir/folder structure equal a one to one match per cd.

there are times SBS relies on folder location, like for greatest hits
logic or for folder album art.  also, its simply easier to track and
find your files on disk.

i never combine even a multi cd album into just one folder.  each
folder with audio files in it is a one to one match for a physical cd. 
now, some folks do combine multi disc album rips into one folder, but i
would never advise more than that.
