I've seen a similar problem with iPeng not showing artwork even though I can see it in Windows. When I then used MP3 tag to try and extract the cover, it says a file already exists but you can't see it. The only way I've found to solve this for the half dozen or so problem albums I had was to go into Windows explorer and create a new "album" folder in the same directory as the existing one and then copy the song files only into the new folder. Then go into MP3 tag and extract the cover art to "folder.jpg" and delete the old album folder.
