i have it monitor ONLY my rip folder and i set it to "ONLY add missing info."
i don't know if thats also safe for win7/wmp12 b/c i haven't experimented yet (even tho i have it) but i'd assume it would be. use EAC to rip with freedb and then what i do above and you should be good.
