ITs not just the volcano in Iceland thats causing problems..its their alphabet too!
Saved several tracks to my Favourites...would not show up. When selected the playlist just showed up...NOTHING Wasnt finding the file location I thought? So I went into SqueezeCenter settings and did a comparison between the ACTUAL file location and what SqueezeCentre had it as. BINGO! The only way I could play these tracks was through the "Music Folder" option Problem songs were by Sigur Ros, an Icelandic Band. Icelandic Characters were not being interpreted properly by SqueezeCentre and as such the Tracks were not beng read in their proper location in the music library. Some examples from my favourites, both working and not working. Making a direct comparison this way enabled me to see where it was going wrong...and yup, it was the Icelandic characters! *EXAMPLE* D:\Music\Tori Amos\2007 American Doll Posse\03 Bouncing Off Clouds.flac file:///D:/Music/Tori%20Amos/2007%20American%20Doll%20Posse/03%20Bouncing%20Off%20Clouds.flac (Works - full track name: no breaks due to odd characters) D:\Music\Sigur Ros\Takk...(FLAC.cue.log)\Glósóli.flac file:///D:/Music/Sigur%20Ros/Takk...(FLAC.cue.log)/02%20-%20Gl%F3s%F3li.flac (Doesnt Work - the character "ó" is interpreted as a break in the filename) D:\Music\Sigur Ros\( ) (FLAC.cue.log)\(Njosnavelin).flac file:///D:/Music/Sigur%20Ros/(%20)%20(FLAC.cue.log)/04%20-%20Untitled%2004 - Untitled (Njosnavelin).flac (Works) D:\Music\Sigur Ros\Hvarf.Heim (FLAC.cue.log)\Hvarf\02 - Hljómalind.flac file:///D:/Music/Sigur%20Ros/Hvarf.Heim%20(FLAC.cue.log)/Hvarf/02%20-%20Hlj%F3malind.flac (Doesnt Work - the character "ó" is interpreted as a break in the filename) Foreign Characters causing problems? I renamed filenames and they showed up again, note its bacause of the FILENAMES not the Tag names..
