You need to add an Album Artist tag to your songs, to identify who the main contributor is for the album.
It sounds like in your SBS music library you have an album record per contributing artist. I'm guessing you ripped it in iTunes, which is a bit rubbish as it rips albums into a file structure such as <Artist>/<Album>/<songs>, rather than keeping all songs relating to an album in a single sub-folder. Otherwise, if all songs for this album were ripped to one folder, and an album artist tag was not present, the album would have been identified as a compilation and all songs would be gathered together and still play as a whole. The exact name of the tag that you need to add depends on your music file format and circumstances. If you were to use Mp3Tag, you could add a tag named "ALBUM ARTIST", and this would work fine with any music format. If you use mp3 files, and want the album displayed the same in iTunes, you want to set the BAND tag to "R.E.M." and in SBS ensure that in Music Library settings, the BAND (TPE2) tag option is changed to mean "Album Artist. -- Philip Meyer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Philip Meyer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=95 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78275 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
