Though I use dbPowerAmp's multi-meta comparison thingy, I always inspect the results, and change anything I don't like. In particular, I always set both Artist and AlbumArtist to "Surname, Firstname" when relevant (started doing this before I found out about ArtistSort, and too lazy to change 25,000 tracks now...) Also, I'm fairly fussy about my Genre tags, and have some purely personal genres, so whatever comes out of PerfectMeta usually gets changed. On the whole though, I find that PerfectMeta works pretty well at eliminating crud (misspelled/misplaced titles in particular), so long as there are multiple sources for the CD.
