Just to clarify: Using ; you would get the following tag: genre="genre a; genre b" Some apps would read that as one genre. Others would split them accurately.
You could also add two seperate tags such as: genre = "genre a" genre = "genre b" This is done with // in mp3tag. Not sure how else it is done. Some apps would file songs under both or some apps use the first. SqueezeBox Server supports both. Note that I have just written out the tags notionally, how they are actually written in the file is a mystery to me. You could also add a custom tag with owner and use custum scan plugin (erland's) to read the tag.
