just fyi:

its the best thing that WMP does. it actually has an option called
"only add missing info" and it never then overwrites existing tags, but
does fill in any that happen to be blank, if it has info from AMG or
wherever.

the 2 problems with it are that it doesn't support FLAC (or anything
vorbis probably) and it will overwrite existing art if the art is
called Folder.jpg in the file.

therefore, when i rip with EAC, i have WMP only monitor a "rip folder"
and not all my music. on xp and vista, it works very well, adding to
what i set. on win7, its not as well behaved.

relatedly:

in winamp, you can autotag one or huge amounts of files. it has a
dialog, showing you what currently exists, and what it proposes to
change stuff to. you can then checkmark only those files you want
altered.

obviously, i wish winamp had an "only add missing info" option. but
aside from that, what i'd like is to be able to pick in the dialog
which fields i want the changes on. right now, its "all or none,"
which sucks as u may only want 2 fields changed, but another it
suggests is wrong or blank, and worse than what you already have.

so it would also be cool to have a dialog where you can see "current"
and "suggested" fields for any given file tag, and pick/checkmark only
those fields you want changed.
