Hi Audiomuze...
No, I'm working with 2 hard disks, one is internal (SATA) and the other
is external USB 2, both directly on the server running SBS.

I'm totally baffled by this - there seems to be no rhyme or reason to
it. One thing is for sure, if I convert the flac files to wav (or MP3),
they analyse fine!

But... I have other flacs, made using the same flac encoder, that
analyse OK...

My head hurts.
