Thanks to everyone who has replied. I downloaded mp3tag (version 2.47b). A lot of things then became much clearer and I could see straight away where there were problems. I think I had been changing the filename thinking this was the tag, but now I see all the data that the file holds. This was enlightening and will allow me to make better use of my system. However, the problem is after making the amendments in mp3tag I saved these (and they are still there), but the squeezeboxes are not picking up the changes. Again I have tried clearing the library and reloading. I suspect I am somehow not getting the tags correctly into the file, but can't work out where I am going wrong. Any help much appreciated.
