The fundamental problem is of course that classical music just does NOT fit very well into the simple Artist/Album/Track organization that's so prevalent.
The various bits of hardware and software that each user utilizes have an influence on what "works". For instance, I'm just using an out-of-the-box SB Touch for playback. The width of its screen affects my choice of naming conventions since I'd like to keep scrolling to a minimum. If (or when) I change the bits of hardware and software, I might very well wish I'd made other choices. BTW, when ripping some multiple disc sets, I've noticed that the online data for Disc One can sometimes be very different than that for Disc Two. Different people's work, no doubt.
