I'm not an expert at manually editing playlists, but from what I've read, it might. But besides looking for the .flac and replacing with .mp3, you'll also want to make sure that the file path is also correct as well, since it could be different on the netbook. But I think if you make sure that it all matches, then editing the m3u should work.
