I prefer (by a large margin) to launch Mp3tag using the Windows Explorer shell integration that it (optionally) installs. If I'm working within a number of different folders with Mp3tag I'll keep a window open with Windows Explorer and use the Explorer context menu to load individual folders rather than navigate to them within Mp3tag itself. To do this, first you must have installed Mp3tag's Explorer shell integration. To see whether or not it's been installed, open Windows Explorer, find any directory and right-click the name. If you see 'Mp3tag' in the context menu, then it has been installed. If not, simply run Mp3tag's installer again and make sure that 'Explorer Context Menu' is checked among the components to be installed. Then to launch Mp3tag, navigate in Windows Explorer to the folder that you want to work on, right-click it, and select Mp3tag. To use it with folders on an NAS or file server, you may have to navigate through 'My Network Places' in Windows Explorer, or you could make a shortcut to \\VORTEXBOX\files\music\flac to use as a starting point for Explorer. Don't get into the habit of loading your entire library in Mp3tag. This is seldom necessary, and takes too long to launch every time you want to make some changes.
