I've just finished "digitising" my LP collection using a Focusrite Scarlet USB audio interface.
The recording application I used only save files in WAV format so I changed these to FLAC using Foobar2000 and then manually added track and Album name tags and also track numbers (time consuming this!) using Mp3tag. These work fine on the Touch - I suspect it's the lack of appropriate tags that is preventing yours from working.
