I don't remember, was some time ago, I'll check and post if you could
refresh me how to do...

Yes, this was more or less the answer they gave to me, plus they are few
and have more urgent things to do...

I Will.

Thats for shure! For "tagging" (in sense of producing .cue) I wroted a
java application that in years has become 'my' music application for
everything (searching, browsing, selecting, send to the player and
display now playing).

Some components (interface to musicbrainz and discogs) is public today,
the rest is too 'naif' and i'm lazy... I've tried Erland plugins once,
but the problem is that you could not configure what"rem" metainfo has
to be considered in .cue scanning, so no much added to standard, but I
don't really remember, also becouse he started to sell them and I've
never tried again.

I'm not aware of any player supporting .cue and clasical music better
than LMS/SB, for sure not MPD, even cantata client fails on that, I'm
quite happy using Musicbrainz metadata (very rich and still growing
better) for artists and works, if you could link your files to a release
(quite easy using auto recognition) and load them in user collections
in MB, you gain a great way to browse your library and the better is
that everyday it grows in data and functionality. They are just a little
too 'tech-minded' ad tend to be a bit over complicated, but it's great!

Same for discogs, but less usefull for classical.

Yes, I know. But again in my application I use Audioscan and a modified
version of cue.pm (both from 6.8) and they are working very well
discerning meta info coming from tags or cue sheet, I think something
got broken once by some new programmer with enthusiastic cleaning
approach (code at time was full of "used only by .cue" or "only for
music folder browsing").
