let's say my folder is:

c:\music\Dave Alvin 1994-10-27 - The Marquee - Buffalo, NY\

Open files in mp3 tag. Select all. Then select CONVERT > Filename to
Tag, then in the format string enter:

%album%\%dummy%

This should produce an album tag of:

Dave Alvin - 1994-10-27 - The Marquee - Buffalo, NY
(that is, whatever is in that first last directory name becomes your
album tag. Everything else should stay the same (that's the purpose of
%dummy%).

Open something up and try it. Once you're happy it works ok, you can do
this in a batch.
