Hi, For starters see if you're able to rip right from a command line without going through Rivendell at all. See if you can determine if it is a problem with the CD you're trying to rip or the CD drive not working properly.
If it is a hardware (or CD) problem then there's no point messing with Rivendell. Also (and I'm not at a Rivendell machine right now, so I'm going from memory) I think there's a setting in RDAdmin's rdlibrary settings which allow you to specify the CD drive device name.
