If I recall correctly, I believe it's still stored as mp2, but RD uses 
the wav container to store that in. It will have .wav as the extension, 
but is actually mp2 if you have that selected in RDAdmin. The bitrate 
can be controlled by you, also in RDAdmin, though I don't recall a rate 
that would create 256kbps....but I could be wrong. That's the way it is 
on my mp2 system here.
