Alban, Thanks for the suggestion, but this also didn't work - it is the same error as before. I reinstalled libmad0-dev but no change. Libmad.so is in /usr/lib .

If limad is present, you may have a problem with the so name. Ubuntu doesn't provide libmad.so but a. so with its version in the name. The original Rivendell doesn't manage this situation (we're patching it in the package build). You can workaround the problem by installing libmad-dev.
