Just curious if anyone has found an easy way to batch transcode m4a/AAC files to FLAC while keeping the ID3 tags intact? I've found numerous scripts that will use lame or oggenc to encode to MP3/Vorbis, but that adds another lossy encoding step with poor results once the song finally comes out of the encoder (darkice) via Rivendell.
I've found programs that will do this on Windows, but in keeping with the FOSS spirit, I'd really love to not go that route if at all necessary.
