Hi,

I installed 2011 rivendell and played with it. But our volunteer college
radio had problems to find time (and skills) to migrate our database
from our old automation software to Rivendell. But we did set up clocks,
scheduler rules, events etc pp.

This year, after someone wrote an automated import script, I installed
Debian Wheezy and Rivendell 2.8 from Albans packages on a new computer.
Then shut down rivendell on both machines and copied /var/snd.
On the old computer I used rdadmin -> "Backup Database" and imported
this file on the new host with rdadmin -> "Restore Database".

After that I add a new host (but maybe used the old host entry as a
template) and set up IP, Audioports (and dropboxes :'( ) manually.

Is this fine? Should I expect some strange behaviours like this:
https://github.com/ElvishArtisan/rivendell/issues/15

I would like to keep events, clocks, grid, scheduler rules and
dropboxes, but can set up audioports etc by hand.

Best

Keywan
