We're using flashcache .. to optimize our build environments. It isn't
complicated to setup. But the tuning is more tricky.

The IO load should not be a problem on a NFS server dedicated to
Rivendell stations (if you don't have a hundred of stations). A SSD and
flashcache should be a bit overkill :)

Only Cut imports requires CPU and IO ressources. But if your CPU is old,
I'm not sure a SSD (as temp directory for example) will change the
global import performance.

We're using a simple i3 and RAID 1 SATA disks on our RivendellNasBox.
Our customers can import more than 10000 music carts in a day ...
without SSD.
