It's possible, but by the time the audio gets there it should be perfect.
Importing with normalisation to maintain safe levels in the library, and
tweaking to get the aural level consistent through the library produces
a clean constant level which needs little further processing.
Lots of work at the front end.
We run a peak limiter.
Our dynamic range is a bit greater than most signals, something we get
good comments from listeners about.
