Hi Ryan,

If you're running straight ALSA and have an Intel based chipset, you
*might* need to specify the sample rate in your /etc/asound.conf file as
such (use the same sample rate that you have specified in rdadmin):

pcm.rd0 {
  type hw
  card 0
  rate 48000
}
ctl.rd0 {
  type hw
  card 0
}

You'll need to be root to edit this file.  Of course substitute 44100 if
that's what you have Rivendell set to.  Add the extra line and restart
your Rivendell daemons, then give it a try.

I've run into this on just about every Intel-audio chipset based system
that I've installed Rivendell on where I've used straight ALSA, and
adding the extra line always seems to work for me.
