I would like to second that recommendation. I've got clonezilla on a bootable USB stick in my toolbox and I've successfully cloned Rivendell drives. Just make sure that the destination drive is at least as big as the source.

Just make a cd or bootable USB with the iso from their website. Then boot the machine with it and follow the instructions. It lets you direct disk copy although it is more useful to image to a network drive or whatever else you fancy. I normally use it with SSH but you can also use Windows shares if you prefer. If you're using CentOS or RHEL... Boot the install CD for a version LOWER than you're running. ie: if you're running 6.8 using a 6.4 CD it works just dandy ! Tell it to upgrade. One of the options will be to re-do the boot loader. Take the upgrade/reinstall boot loader option. It will "upgrade" ( do nothing ) in a few seconds, install the boot loader, and you should be good to go. -- Cowboy http://cowboy.cwf1.com Time is nature's way of making sure that everything doesn't happen at once. _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
