Thanks so much for your suggestion and help. Unfortunately, I've still not been able to figure this out, though I'm still experimenting. I guess I'd expect RD to Render logs exactly as if they were playing in RDAirplay, but it obviously doesn't. it's quite clear that the two modules treat fades and segues quite differently, at least as far as voicetracks are concerned. I use an external USB audio card. Is it possible that a system with an Audioscience card might deal differently with this? I also found the "rdrender" command-line argument mentioned in "man 1 rdlogmanager", so I feel like I'm a step closer to my goal, if I can only figure out these pesky fades. As for the "fade on segue" fix I sent to Tim, there were 2 errors involving quotes, for which I apologize.
