I dont understand what you mean by "resident in the space". You move things through a JavaSpace, you dont execute things in a JavaSpace. Most likely I think you are mixing having a service in the same JVM as a JavaSpace (i.e. in a JVM that is hosting multiple services), as opposed to resident in the space.
