That might well be. But is it the level you would accept for a design document? You, as an obviously experienced programmer, have never made, read, a design document? How difficult would it be, to make a small wiki page that describes what functions the build process performs?
This effort you will put in, will not be put to waste, but will show others what is special about the river build process when we have put it on the website.
Please remember, i'm not the one proposing a new build system and throwing the old one away. I'm happy with ant, and do you mind then, that i would like to see some documentation before we throw something that works away?
