I've applied the patches:
they look necessary for rivet-trunk to compile. Unfortunately
my rivet-trunk doesn't build (regardless Valery's patches)
probably because my autotools version is broken or
incompatible with the trunk's set-up.

I'm sorry, but since I focused my work on the pending 1_0
release I missed to keep the trunk in synch with the autotools
and can't do it know, since I'm away from home right now and
without an inet connection for my linux laptop (never managed to
let a winmodem work on linux).
